Eye inflammation and eyestrain, in Aajonus's framework, are not isolated ocular diseases but symptomatic expressions of systemic conditions, specifically deficiency states, toxin accumulation, detoxification processes, and nutritional insufficiency at the level of the eye tissues themselves. The eye is one of the least-circulated areas of the entire body, which means toxins that reach the eyes accumulate slowly and clear slowly, making the eyes a late indicator of long-standing systemic problems.
Aajonus's Definition
Eye inflammation and eyestrain, in Aajonus's framework, are not isolated ocular diseases but symptomatic expressions of systemic conditions, specifically deficiency states, toxin accumulation, detoxification processes, and nutritional insufficiency at the level of the eye tissues themselves. The eye is one of the least-circulated areas of the entire body, which means toxins that reach the eyes accumulate slowly and clear slowly, making the eyes a late indicator of long-standing systemic problems.
Aajonus stated plainly: "Into the ears and the eyes, is the least circulated in the body, so if toxins start building up in your eyes and your ears, you can count on losing your vision and losing your hearing, that's why aged people lose all of those, the older they get the more they lose, so you have to stay on a good diet."
Eye inflammation specifically, redness, irritation, conjunctivitis, pink eye, and related presentations, represents the body's attempt to cleanse toxicity that has gotten into the cornea, the iris, or the sclera. Eyestrain, including the experience of the eyes getting tired easily, difficulty focusing, light sensitivity, and weeping of one eye more than another, is described primarily as a state of nutritional deprivation at the tissue level of the eye, combined with possible systemic detoxification occurring through the tear ducts and cornea. Blurred vision accompanying eyestrain is specifically identified as a red-meat deficiency.
The eye structure Aajonus focused on for topical treatment is primarily the cornea, the iris, and the sclera. He acknowledged the retina as "very deep" and noted that topical applications primarily reach the more superficial structures but can be absorbed inward over time: "We're mainly talking about the cornea, the iris and the sclera." However, he also noted that with consistent topical feeding of the eye via egg white and butter, even retinal conditions can receive indirect nutritional support as nutrients are absorbed through the white tissues.
Eye inflammation in the form of conjunctivitis is specifically defined as a condition where "the cornea has been damaged in some way and the body is trying to get rid of that toxicity that has gotten into the cornea so the body is working directly on the cornea to take care of that."

Root Cause
Aajonus identified multiple root causes for eye inflammation and eyestrain, and he was careful to distinguish among them depending on the specific presentation.
Nutritional Deficiency as Primary Cause:
The single most important nutritional root cause Aajonus identified for eyestrain and blurred vision is red meat deficiency. He stated repeatedly and emphatically: "I have not found any correlation there. However, people who do have eye problems especially blurring I find it's a red meat deficiency. Fish does not alter it. Chicken, turkey does not alter it. But red meat will alter it within an hour or so."
He elaborated further: "When it comes to the vision of the eye, when you start getting blurred vision, it's a low red meat substance that clears it. So if you start getting blurred vision, you know you need to eat red meat real soon, right away."
This he found paradoxical and acknowledged so directly: "You figure that the eye is mainly neurological tissue and should go along with all the other reactions that I've had, utilizing fish and fowl to regenerate neurological tissue faster than you can regenerate neurological tissue by eating lamb or beef or venison, any of those. However, when it comes to the vision of the eye, when you start getting blurred vision, it's a low red meat substance that clears it." He noted that the eye, despite being largely neurological in structure, responds to red meat rather than white meat for vision restoration, which he described as not being entirely logical or linear.
He further noted: "Red meat helps maintain eye muscles, so be certain to eat at least 4 oz. of red meat daily." And specifically about blurred vision: "Blurred vision accompanying eyestrain is often a red-meat deficiency. Eating red meat with unheated honey corrects blurred vision."
Fat Deficiency:
Butter deficiency is another root cause, particularly for dryness, irritation, and inflammatory conditions of the eye. When a patient reported that butter caused blurry vision and red eyes for a couple of days after application, Aajonus said: "That is a sign you're not building enough tears to protect the eye. It's like mucus. Have one milkshake a day. And, make sure the butter is fresher so it's not so acidic." He also noted that leaving butter out too long makes it acidic: "Not for the eyes because that will cause that acidic bacteria to pre-digest and it's very acid, especially if you don't have good tears."
Toxin Accumulation and Detoxification Through the Eyes:
Toxins frequently exit the body through the tear ducts and cornea. When this detoxification is active, it causes a range of symptoms, redness, soreness, light sensitivity, weeping, focusing problems, that resemble eye disease but are actually cleansing processes. Aajonus described: "It sounds as if you are detoxifying your eyes through the cornea." He also noted: "It is usually acids dumping out through the mouth area, dumping out the eye sockets out the tear ducts causing burning."
Consuming large amounts of coconut cream specifically can cause toxins to discharge from the brain through the tear ducts: "Sometimes, consuming a lot of coconut cream causes many toxins from the brain to discharge from the tear ducts, and that affects vision temporally."
Penicillin Accumulation (Systemic Fungal Load):
Aajonus linked eye yellowing and clouding directly to penicillin accumulation throughout the body: "If you have yellow color in your eye, you're full of it [penicillin]." He noted: "I have not seen one person's eyes in 30 years that didn't have signs of penicillin growing profusely in their bodies." He stated that penicillin, once injected or administered, cannot be expelled through the body's normal cleansing because the radiation used to sterilize it "destroys the RNA and DNA, which tells the fungus to go into hibernation. So when you are injected or given penicillin, that fungus will live in your body forever. Unless you know how to get rid of it."
Poor Blood Quality:
Bloodshot eyes, redness in the whites, represent poor blood quality rather than simple inflammation. "A lot of red lines in the eyes could be an indicator of atherosclerosis or a weak heart or anything." And: "It just means poor bloodstream... It means quality of blood is bad." When detoxing, particularly during flu-like states where toxins dump into the system, bloodshot eyes result.
Poor Protein Levels:
Eyestrain and vision impairment connected to inability to read or focus can arise suddenly from low protein in the blood: "That means that you're... in every situation where I've advised eating lots of protein when that happens, usually within an hour the vision is restored. So it means you need protein immediately and not eggs. You can put egg white in your eyes and that'll help. But actually eating meat."
Acid Irritation:
The tear ducts can become sites of acid discharge. "A lot of acidity to come from dumping out your tear ducts." When the eye itself burns and turns red, it is often due to acidic compounds reaching the eye tissues, either from the body's detoxification or from environmental exposures.
Industrial Solvents and Heavy Metals in the Iris:
Aajonus regularly observed via iridology that the eyes carry a record of accumulated industrial toxins: "Every time you eat something from a package, it's been processed in some kind of a steel container, metal container. Those collect in your body." He showed his own iris progression from dark brown and green to blue as his body cleared: "My eyes used to be green and brown. And as they got cleaner, they got blue."
The Eye as a Delayed Nutritional Recipient:
A structural reason for eye problems is that the eye receives nutrients late in the body's nutritional priority chain: "The eye gets nutrients so delayed and it lasts usually in the cycle of where food goes... Chain. So that's why putting it directly in the eye helps."

Why This Happens
Eye inflammation and eyestrain sit primarily within the Root Cause / Terrain Theory and Detoxification of Aajonus's framework, with strong elements of Raw Food and How to Live as they concern what to eat and how to support the body's cleansing processes.
Root Cause / Terrain Theory: The deficiency states, red meat deficiency, fat deficiency, protein deficiency, are terrain-level, foundational conditions. The eye is not diseased; the terrain of the body is depleted of the specific materials the eye needs to function and self-repair.
Detoxification: Much of what presents as eye inflammation or eyestrain is the body actively cleansing through the tear ducts and cornea. Toxins from coconut cream-driven brain detox, from industrial solvents, from heavy metals, from penicillin fungal accumulation, these all exit or attempt to exit through the eyes, causing the symptoms associated with inflammation and irritation.
Microbes: Conjunctivitis and fungal/bacterial activity within the eye are part of his microbial framework, the body deploying bacteria, virus, or fungus as janitors of damaged tissue. "Fungus and bacteria work in the eye. Virus can work in the eye."
Raw Food: The solutions are entirely grounded in raw food, raw egg white, raw butter, raw red meat, raw carrot juice, raw honey, raw fresh fish, raw orange foods, all within the raw food paradigm.
How to Live: Sun exposure, adequate sleep, and avoiding toxic eye drops (particularly those containing mercury or steroids) are lifestyle prescriptions within his "how to live" philosophy.

Symptoms Reframed
Redness of the whites (bloodshot eyes): Not infection. Not allergic reaction. Blood quality indicator. "It just means poor bloodstream... It means quality of blood is bad." During active detox or flu states, toxins dump into the bloodstream and this shows up as bloodshot eyes. In the context of industrial exposure (e.g., asbestos), "the glass and asbestos chemical could have damaged the whole bloodstream and this shows up in the whites of the eyes."
A specific case: a doctor whose eyes were always bright red (looking stoned) had asthma and was an expert witness in court. After using egg white daily, her eyes cleared and her prescription was reduced by 50%.
Burning and irritation: Acids discharging through the tear ducts. "It is usually acids dumping out through the mouth area, dumping out the eye sockets out the tear ducts causing burning." One patient reported: "Sometimes when I feel it [eye] burning and it turns red, I will use the egg white. Like on my way here, all of the sudden it started burning and was irritated so put in some egg white."
Blurred vision: Red meat deficiency. Not a lens problem, not a nerve degeneration in the conventional sense. Correctable within an hour of eating red meat. "When it comes to the vision of the eye, when you start getting blurred vision, it's a low red meat substance that clears it."
Light sensitivity: When egg white is used regularly, Aajonus noted that treated eyes "are less sensitive to bright sunlight." The improvement in light sensitivity is therefore a sign of nutritional repair.
Weeping/excessive tearing from one eye: Possibly a sign of detoxification occurring through that specific eye. One patient described their right eye as "a little weepy. It tears more than my left eye." Aajonus's response was: "It sounds as if you are detoxifying your eyes through the cornea."
Feeling tired easily, difficulty reading small print: This constitutes eyestrain in the common sense. Aajonus frames it as the eye simply being nutritionally starved, the eye sits at the far end of the nutritional chain and is the last to receive nutrients from food eaten, making topical application of egg white and butter essential.
Focusing problems in a small zone: "I seem to have a little focusing problem in a small circular zone", this too falls within the corneal detox framework he described for this patient.
Eye feeling like it has been poked, or cool air blowing into it: Aajonus's response to this was corneal detoxification: "It sounds as if you are detoxifying your eyes through the cornea."
Yellow color in the eyes: Penicillin accumulation, systemic fungal load throughout the body. "If you have yellow color in your eye, you're full of it."
Blue-tinted whites: One parent observed that their daughter's whites had a noticeably bluish tint. Aajonus treated bluish whites as a lymphatic marker visible in the eye, part of his larger iridological framework.
Itchy eyes: Acid discharge through the tear ducts. Protocol: "Put egg white in your eyes 2-3 times a day."
Eyes twitching: Linked to vitamin B6 deficiency (though Aajonus did not recommend synthetic supplements). Source foods: nuts and eggs. "Eggs by themselves will get enough B6 into her that it will stop it."
Swollen eyes: When a patient presented with swollen eyes and red patches by the eyes, Aajonus said: "Sounds as if you are butter deficient and using too much pressed oils that dry the skin rather than lubricate it."
---
Food Protocol
Red Meat: The single most important food for eyestrain and blurred vision. At minimum, 4 ounces of red meat daily. "Red meat helps maintain eye muscles, so be certain to eat at least 4 oz. of red meat daily." For blurred vision, eat red meat immediately, it corrects the condition within approximately one hour. Eating red meat with unheated honey specifically corrects blurred vision accompanying eyestrain.
Types of red meat specified: lamb, beef, venison. All are appropriate. The key is that it must be red meat, fish, chicken, and turkey do not produce the same vision-restoring effect even though the eye is primarily neurological tissue.
Protein for Sudden Vision Loss During Reading: When vision suddenly becomes impaired, making it impossible to read, Aajonus prescribed immediate meat consumption: "In every situation where I've advised eating lots of protein when that happens, usually within an hour the vision is restored. So it means you need protein immediately and not eggs. You can put egg white in your eyes and that'll help. But actually eating meat." Beef was specifically named.
Orange and Red Live Foods: "Getting sleep, plenty of sunshine, and eating red and orange live foods, such as raw fresh tuna, salmon, tomatoes, raw carrot juice, oranges, watermelon, and cantaloupe soothe and heal eyestrain."
- Raw fresh tuna
- Raw fresh salmon
- Fresh tomatoes
- Raw carrot juice
- Oranges
- Watermelon
- Cantaloupe
Raw Carrot Juice: Specifically mentioned for general eye health. "Drinking raw carrot juice improves the general health of the eyes." For enhanced healing effect: "Adding a little raw watercress juice to raw carrot juice increases healing of this condition. For better eye health, add 4 tablespoons raw cream or 2 tablespoons unsalted raw butter to 1 cup carrot juice."
Unsalted Raw Butter (Internal): "Eating unsalted raw butter is also helpful" for eyestrain. Internally it supports general fat sufficiency and tear production.
Bell Peppers: "Bell peppers, especially yellow, help improve eyesight, best eaten with a meat meal."
Milkshake: For those whose eyes react badly to topical butter application (redness and blurriness lasting days), indicating insufficient tear production: "Have one milkshake a day." The milkshake helps build the fat reserves needed to generate adequate tears.
---
This is Aajonus's primary and most extensively described topical remedy for virtually all eye conditions including inflammation, redness, eyestrain, conjunctivitis, blurred vision, and as general daily nutritional support.
Basic Method:
Version 1 (finger method): "Take about a half a teaspoon and put it in an eye cup and then put your head back and stretch your eyelid up and then roll all the egg white around in there and then do it to the other eye and do it once a day. And do not rinse it out, just wipe it off."
Version 2 (eye cup method): "Put like a half a teaspoon in it, hold your eye open like this, like it's going to pop out, put the eye piece up in there so that the edges hold the eye open, put your head back, roll it around about five times, drop it back in, remove it, open the eye again and roll it for about a minute. It will get all the egg white rotated and massaged into the eye."
Version 3 (finger direct application): "Take the egg and just put the egg white, crack a little bit, let it out of the top, or you have one broken into a glass, get a little dab on the end of your little finger, pull your eyelid down... roll the eye around to coat and it only takes three minutes to absorb."
Version 4 (as described in his own personal use): "Just put it on your little finger and just look up and put it on the white of the eye itself and then roll it."
Eyedropper method: "I take an eye dropper, and I'll drop two in each eye when I do it. Just keep it in there for like 30 seconds or a minute? No, I leave it in completely. I'll just take my eye and roll it around for about a minute in each eye, and then I just let it absorb."
Do not rinse out. After application, wipe any excess from around the eye with a damp cloth to prevent crusting on lashes. "Have a damp wet cloth to take off any of my eyelashes because it'll dry and it'll look like I'm a flake."
Frequency: - For daily general maintenance and vision support: once daily, or once every other day - For active inflammation, redness, or conjunctivitis: 2–3 times daily - For glaucoma: 2–3 times daily - For severe eye conditions (e.g., someone told they would lose their eyes): 3 times daily - For retinal conditions: at least twice daily is "more helpful"
Why egg white works: "Almost same chemistry as your tears but has more protein so it feeds and strengthens the eye. You can do it as many times a day as you like." And: "Egg white is mostly protein and will strengthen the eye for the day against pollution."
Timing: Morning is preferred for egg white. "Egg white in the morning" is the standard recommendation. The fog from egg white clears within approximately 2 minutes. "Within two minutes the fogginess goes away. In three minutes you can see better and the eyes are neutrified and strong."
Effect on redness: "It does reverse eye astigmatism, everything. Takes the white, makes..." and: "It will remove red eyes within about 20 minutes." Actors and actresses used it before going on camera: "They put that other over the counter stuff in their eyes and they get rid of it but it causes vision blurring problems so they just use the egg white and it takes the red out of their eyes and they can go in front of the camera in two minutes."
High-egg diet note: Do not use high-meat eggs (eggs that have been fermented) for eye application. "And so just use the egg whites and just... you don't need that much bacteria in the eye."
---
Basic method: "Put it in your hand until it melts. Then put the end of your little finger in there, look up and rub it along the white of the eye. Then take the eye and move it around. Let the butter coat it." Or: "Pull your lower eyelid downward, look upward, rub a dab of raw butter onto the lid, lift the upper eyelid along with the lower eyelid and roll your eyes like a circus master. Leave it there and do not rinse."
Timing: At night before sleep only. "Butter at night will soothe and strengthen the eye in a different, cleansing way." The reason: "With butter, you will have foggy vision for about 30 minutes [to] an hour, so you want to do that before you sleep." One reference states: "Make sure you're already in bed because you'll have a fog over your eyes for 10-20 minutes."
Alternating schedule: "You could alternate days or do egg white in the morning and butter at night before bed." The combination regimen: "Egg white in the morning and butter at night."
Frequency: - Butter 2 times per week is mentioned for one protocol: "I've had people with coke bottle thick glasses and doing the egg white every day and butter 2x a week go to very thin glasses in a five-year period." - Butter nightly is used for more intensive protocols
Type of butter: Sheep's butter is slightly superior: "Especially sheep's butter which is a little bit more effective than cow's butter." Must be unsalted raw butter. Must be fresh, not left out too long, as it becomes acidic: "Make sure the butter is fresher so it's not so acidic... Not for the eyes because that will cause that acidic bacteria to pre-digest and it's very acid, especially if you don't have good tears."
Why butter works differently than egg white: "Butter at night will soothe and strengthen the eye in a different, cleansing way." Aajonus described its effect as cleansing and strengthening, while egg white is primarily protein-feeding and strengthening. The butter also addresses corneal warping and scar tissue over time.
Butter reaction (temporary redness/blurriness): If butter causes red eyes and blurry vision lasting a couple of days: that is a sign of insufficient tear production. The remedy is one milkshake daily and ensuring fresher butter.
Aajonus's personal case: After cancer that ate through one-third of his nose and burned his cornea with acid from tumor dissolution, creating 8 layers of scar tissue leaving him blind in one eye, he used egg white in the morning and butter at night. Seven years later, he was able to read the eye chart with that eye at the driver's test. The optometrist confirmed only one layer of scar tissue remained. Protocol: "Egg white in the morning and butter at night. Take the egg white and tap it onto your little finger, pull your lower eyelid down and look up and rub it along the white. Roll your eye around to get the egg white all over the eye. Then, at night, you do the same with a dab of butter that you have melted in your palm."
---
"The same remedy suggestions for Conjunctivitis has soothed and healed those conditions."
The egg white protocol above is the primary remedy. "Egg white corrects it" (speaking of conjunctivitis/corneal damage).
A case study: A man was told he was going to lose his eyes. He started putting egg white in his eyes three times a day. "Within a week he was eating raw meat because that worked so well and they'd given him drops, they'd done everything, they said he was going to lose his eyes and I just saw him for the first time the day I left and his eyes were just as white, as white, I mean he had a little redness on this side of one eye and that was it. And he was putting the egg white in his eyes three times a day."
Additional foods for inflammation: The eyestrain foods (red and orange live foods, red meat, raw butter) all apply.
---
When the symptoms are primarily detoxification (cooling sensation in the eye, light sensitivity, weeping, focusing problems in a small zone):
Primary recommendation: raw butter applied topically. "I suggest that you pull your lower eyelid downward, look upward, rub a dab of raw butter onto the lid, lift the upper eyelid along with the lower eyelid and roll your eyes like a circus master. Leave it there and do not rinse. Do not be afraid of doing this; hundreds of people have done it and it works wonders, better than egg white."
---
"Drinking raw fresh parsley juice helps to prevent and correct this condition. Parsley juice should be consumed with celery and can be combined with a mixture of other juices to make it more palatable. A drop of filtered fresh parsley juice dropped in the eyes is helpful to reverse this condition."
---
One patient with totally scarred cornea who was near-blind and found egg white dried the eye further, reported success with "cold-pressed virgin coconut oil. It is actually working better. It feels very good on the eye and refracts light or settles the cornea... once again, I don't need my white cane all the time." Aajonus acknowledged this without objection.
---
The same severely scarred cornea patient had used urine as a tear substitute for some time: "I thought you may have some interest in what I am doing regarding eye lubricant. I had mentioned to you several years ago that I was using my urine as a tear since I have no tearing and my cornea is totally scarred over... I still use a bit of urine later in the day to clear out a build." Aajonus did not object to this in his reply.
---
Aajonus reported personally: "I applied sperm several times to my damaged eye and it seemed to make it worse for the first two applications. After those, I applied it to the corner, very thinly to the lids only, twice weekly. After a month I stopped, but I noticed some favorable results which did not last more than 3 months. Since I need all of my eyesight that is available, I have not experimented further. When I have time off, I will experiment with it again."
---
"Put egg white in your eyes 2-3 times a day. Put about ½ a tsp in an eye cup. Hold your eye open like this. Hold your head back. Do that about 4 times. Bring it back down. Hold the head back again, stretch the eyelids back again and then roll the eye for about a minute. And then take a damp cloth and rub excess off around the outside or it is going to crust."
---
"Drinking a blended combination of fresh raw lemon juice, 2-3 raw eggs and 1-3 tablespoons unheated honey alkalizes fluids in the eyeballs. Generally, though, this condition mainly results from low protein levels in the blood. Eating raw red meat gradually improves vision, including depth perception. Drinking raw carrot juice improves the general health of the eyes. Adding a little raw watercress juice to raw carrot juice increases healing of this condition. For better eye health, add 4 tablespoons raw cream or 2 tablespoons unsalted raw butter to 1 cup carrot juice."
---
What to Avoid
- iVisine and commercial eye drops:
"Do not use eye drops, with mercury or all that, Vaseline, but they, yeah it's with mineral oils, clean with, it's a steroid, and it damages the eye tissue." Commercial eye drops with Vaseline or mineral oils are steroids that damage eye tissue. Visine was specifically named: "Visine and all of that didn't work and of course they were poisoning the eye."
- iiThimerosal (liquid mercury) in contact lens solution:
"A lot of them have thimerosal in them; that is liquid mercury." He recommended avoiding these formulations entirely.
- iiiRinsing egg white or butter out of the eye:
"Do not rinse it out, just wipe it off." Water is a solvent that removes the protective coating on the eye.
- ivWater flushing of the eye (especially fluorinated water):
In his own experience with a metal splinter: "I flushed the eye with water first. Because the water is a solvent, it removed the protective coating on my eye and made it worse. Also the water was fluorinated and caused my eye-lacerations to burn."
- vLime juice in the eye:
"During that time [of extreme eye infection], I made the mistake of putting lime juice in my eye and now everything is blurry. You scarred the cornea, probably only have one layer left." Lime juice in the eye causes severe corneal scarring.
- viAntibiotics (for post-surgery or general eye use):
"I tell them not to take antibiotics or put antibiotics in their eyes. It destroys bacteria and creates keloid tissue. About 90% of people who have laser surgery have difficulty and that's because they're using antibiotics. The eye doesn't heal properly."
- viiExcessive coconut cream (more than 2 tablespoons daily):
Can drive significant detoxification through the tear ducts, causing temporary vision problems. "His eyes may get worse before they get better but not necessarily, unless he consumes more than 2 T. coconut cream daily."
- viiiCheese (particularly Cheddar) in glaucoma:
"Do not decrease consumption of cheese, however do not eat Cheddar; Colby or Jack is preferable for the eyes." Avoid Cheddar specifically.
- ixVitamin B supplements (synthetic):
"If you're giving into a vitamin supplement, which I don't agree with because all the natural ones are made with kerosene and all the unnatural ones are made with gasoline. And those that are synthetic are made from chemistry." For eye twitching related to B6 deficiency, get B6 from nuts and eggs, not supplements.
- xAcidic, old butter:
Butter left out too long becomes acidic and is specifically harmful to eyes, especially for those with inadequate tear production. Use fresh butter only for topical eye application.
- xiEdsd (energy diagnostic and treatment machine):
Aajonus described a personal experience where EDSD treatment caused permanent light sensitivity: "After EDSD treatment, I experienced an uncanny sensitivity to sunlight that affects me to this day (2005)... Still, I cannot stare into the sunlight for more than a few seconds." He cautioned: "EDSD seems to be very risky."
- xiiGlasses:
One patient noted: "I don't want to wear glasses, as the last time I started to do that they for sure got worse." Aajonus did not contradict this observation. He recommended pinhole glasses and eye exercises as alternatives, along with the dietary protocol.

Recovery Timeline
Recovery timelines in Aajonus's framework vary enormously based on the depth of the condition.
Acute redness/irritation: Egg white removes redness within approximately 20 minutes. "It will remove red eyes within about 20 minutes." Actors could go in front of a camera within 2 minutes.
Blurred vision from red meat deficiency: Corrects within approximately one hour of eating red meat. "Usually within an hour the vision is restored."
Vision improvement through daily egg white (mild to moderate impairment): The doctor-patient with chronically red eyes who began daily egg white application experienced enough improvement that her optometrist reduced her prescription by 50%. This occurred over an unspecified period of regular use.
Severe corneal scarring (8 layers, Aajonus's own eye): Seven years of daily egg white in the morning and butter at night to go from completely blind in one eye (8 layers of scar tissue) to being able to read the eye chart and pass the driver's test. After 7 years, one layer of scar tissue remained.
Thick glasses to thin glasses: "I've had people with coke bottle thick glasses and doing the egg white every day and butter 2x a week go to very thin glasses in a five-year period."
Prescription reduction: One patient reduced their prescription by three levels after 4–5 years on the diet with egg white and butter use.
Corneal reworking: "To be on this diet long enough and put enough egg white in your eyes every day, sometimes a tiny bit of butter with a drop of pineapple juice in it to rework the cornea will take years."
Detoxification symptoms: "His eyes may get worse before they get better." The process of toxins clearing through the cornea can temporarily worsen symptoms. This is expected and part of the healing process.
Iridological clearing (systemic eye cleansing): One patient's iris progression over five years was documented by photograph, showing progressive clearing. Aajonus showed his own progression from brown and green eyes to blue eyes over more than 30 years: "It took me over 30 years of hard nutritional exploration to achieve the blue eyes that came with bodily cleanliness."
Penicillin clearing from the brain: The brain is specifically noted as extremely slow to clear penicillin: "It takes 40 years for the body to clear out of it. 40, 4-0."
Post-laser surgery healing: With the Primal Diet: "They heal 3x faster. Their eyes are completely healed and they can go out in the sun in 10 days."
Eye muscle maintenance: Red meat must be eaten at a minimum of 4 oz. daily on an ongoing basis to maintain eye muscle health. This is a maintenance requirement, not a one-time correction.

Questions Aajonus Answered
- Q: Other than putting egg white in my eye, what should I do daily? And using pinhole glasses and eye exercises and perhaps looking at the sun a bit. Do you know what I could do to prevent my eyesight from getting worse? It's getting worse and I don't want to wear glasses, as the last time I started to do that they for sure got worse. I can only focus and see out of one eye due to damage to the other one. You mentioned something about cataracts, or something stacking up.
A (Aajonus): "Red meat helps maintain eye muscles, so be certain to eat at least 4 ozs. of red meat daily. Also, some people have had eye improvement by putting a little raw no-salt butter into their eyes daily before sleep and egg white, mornings. Bell peppers, especially yellow, help improve eyesight, best eaten with a meat meal."
- ---
Q: I am having problems with my vision. Anything 12 inches from eyes becomes blurry. This is something new. I have never had any vision problems before. What do you suggest for my vision? Why is this occurring with my eyes?
- A (Aajonus): "Sometimes, consuming a lot of coconut cream causes many toxins from the brain to discharge from the tear ducts, and that affects vision temporally. As I stated in my books, putting a little egg white, once daily, in the eyes helps vision, especially before bedtime."
---
- Q: My husband wants to know if he should expect his eyes to get worse before they get better. He says they are getting more blurry. He has had no coconut cream since our visit.
A (Aajonus): "His eyes may get worse before they get better but not necessarily, unless he consumes more than 2 T. coconut cream daily."
- ---
Q (detailed, about a specific right eye problem, feeling like someone poked it, a stream of cool air blowing in, light sensitivity, weeping, focusing problem in a small circular zone): Could it be detox? Could he have contaminated his right eye from a wart by touching it? He had not seen an eye doctor for many years.
- A (Aajonus): "It sounds as if you are detoxifying your eyes through the cornea. I suggest that you pull your lower eyelid downward, look upward, rub a dab of raw butter onto the lid, lift the upper eyelid along with the lower eyelid and roll your eyes like a circus master. Leave it there and do not rinse. Do not be afraid of doing this; hundreds of people have done it and it works wonders, better than egg white."
---
- Q: [About a man told he was going to lose his eyes, the account describes third-party transmission of Aajonus's advice]
A (Aajonus): "Don't say that he won't [lose his eyes], just give him this to do, put the egg white, have him put egg white in his eyes two or three times a day." Result: Within a week he was eating raw meat because "that worked so well and they'd given him drops, they'd done everything, they said he was going to lose his eyes and I just saw him for the first time the day I left and his eyes were just as white, as white, I mean he had a little redness on this side of one eye and that was it. And he was putting the egg white in his eyes three times a day."
- ---
Q: [About red eyes, whites bright red, wanting to know what she could do to remove the redness, Visine not working]
- A (Aajonus): "Just rinse them, not rinse them, apply egg white in your eye, take about a half a teaspoon and put it in an eye cup and then put your head back and stretch your eyelid up and then roll all the egg white around in there." Result: Eyes cleared, prescription reduced by 50%.

- Q: Is egg white good for inflammation in the eyes? Like conjunctivitis, pink eye?
A (Aajonus): "Yeah, in terms of something. Yes, like, conjunctivitis, conjunctivitis, pink eye, whatever you want to call it. Yes."
- ---
Q: Can you use egg whites to clean out your eye? [re: red eyes]
- A (Aajonus): "Yes. If you have red eyes, put it in. I have a lot of actors and actresses who do that. They put that other over the counter stuff in their eyes and they get rid of it but it causes vision blurring problems so they just use the egg white and it takes the red out of their eyes and they can go in front of the camera in two minutes."
---
- Q: Butter and egg white in the eyes?
A (Aajonus): "Yes, it helps heal the cornea and improves vision. Butter works a little bit better. Melt it and [gently] tap it like this... pull the lower eyelid down, rub it along the bottom of the white, and roll your eye around. With butter, you will have foggy vision for about 30 minutes, with egg white for about 2 minutes. You could alternate days or do egg white in the morning and butter at night before bed."

Q: I love egg whites and butter in the eyes. I wore glasses since I was 12. I had my eyes examined and had to go down three levels on my prescription, this is after maybe 4–5 years [on diet]. Butter really works but gives me blurry vision and red eyes for a couple days.
- A (Aajonus): "That is a sign you're not building enough tears to protect the eye. It's like mucus. Have one milkshake a day. And, make sure the butter is fresher so it's not so acidic. A lot of times I do leave my butter out. Not for the eyes because that will cause that acidic bacteria to pre-digest and it's very acid, especially if you don't have good tears."

- Q: Can the optic nerve be regenerated? [In the context of glaucoma]
A (Aajonus): "Okay, usually when somebody has glaucoma they have a hormonal problem and a saturation of tissues, just like a diabetic. Most diabetics go glaucomic. Most people with excessive adrenal glands also get that. They get cataracts and glaucoma... Or insulin. Any kind of hormone that will bind with sugars. Because the sugars are an acid. They eat sheaths away. Then the hormone deposits in there cause swelling in those areas. The tissues are torn. They create lesions all over, so the healing can never completely take place. So all the membranes are too thin. Everything is just all swollen, because it has to contain the water to keep the rest of the tissue from breaking down. Have to eat a tremendous amount of eggs to repair that and he would have to wash his eyes out two or three times a day, just take egg white and go like that and roll his eye around with the white... For somebody who has got glaucoma, they should do it two or three times a day. Because it actually feeds the eye, like if you were to put certain nutrients on your neck, it would be absorbed into your body."

Q: What's behind the retina, creates a bulge, is there anything I can specifically do to try to address that?
- A (Aajonus): "Well put the egg white in your eye. You know two times a day. At least once a day but twice a day would be more helpful. The eye gets nutrients so delayed and it lasts usually in the cycle of where food goes... That's why putting it directly in the eye helps. So that will actually internally affect the retina... Yes. Because it will be absorbed into the white tissues and even under it will be absorbed. In the tissue of the eyelids. And then the body can process and utilize it. So if you're feeding it twice a day there it will help the internal protein. Red meat like I said earlier is important to stabilize the eye condition for some reason. So eating red meat will help."
---
- Q: With my vision it's really an impairment because I can't see, I can't read.
A (Aajonus): "That means that you're in every situation where I've advised eating lots of protein when that happens, usually within an hour the vision is restored. So it means you need protein immediately and not eggs. You can put egg white in your eyes and that will help. But actually eating meat and beef, when you have blurred vision for some reason, not everything is logical, not everything is linear. You figure that the eye is mainly neurological tissue and should go along with all the other reactions that I've had, utilizing fish and fowl to regenerate neurological tissue faster than you can regenerate neurological tissue by eating lamb or beef or venison, any of those. However, when it comes to the vision of the eye, when you start getting blurred vision, it's a low red meat substance that clears it."

Q: I tried the egg white [for a totally scarred, completely blind cornea] but found that it dried it more. I used an oil and herb concoction for the past 2 years that worked well and brought back some of my sight. The oil stopped working. So I tried cold-pressed virgin coconut oil. It is actually working better... My eye is usually bloodshot from irritation.
- A (Aajonus): [Acknowledged the situation without contradiction, having himself experimented with sperm applied to his damaged eye, with some favorable results that did not last more than 3 months. He noted the egg white had previously been suggested, and that experimentation with sperm would continue when he had time.]
---
- Q: I am suffering from terrible itching on my head, neck and for a longer period now on my eyelids (they were swollen before too), with red patches on eyelids. What is this and how do I get rid of it?
A (Aajonus): "Sounds as if you are butter deficient and using too much pressed oils that dry the skin rather than lubricate it."
- ---
Q: She says her eyes are getting worse [referring to a patient whose eyes are getting more blurry].
- A (Aajonus): "His eyes may get worse before they get better but not necessarily, unless he consumes more than 2 T. coconut cream daily."
---
- Q (seminar participant): What about a person that is detoxing and the blood is dirty from detoxing, wouldn't their eyes be more bloodshot?
A (Aajonus): "Yes. Or when they are detoxing with a flu and a lot of the toxins are dumping in the system, they get bloodshot eyes. Also, let's say somebody has jaundice, severe jaundice, hepatitis, the whites of the eyes go yellow. This person's lymph system is starting to break down pretty badly, because there are lesions in it."
- ---
Q: Red lines in the eyes, indicator of atherosclerosis or a weak heart?
- A (Aajonus): "It just means poor bloodstream... It means quality of blood is bad. But say this person has worked around some kind of asbestos. The glass and asbestos chemical could have damaged the whole bloodstream and this shows up in the whites of the eyes."
---
- Q: Did the egg whites help your eyes? [Aajonus's own eye recovery]
A (Aajonus): "Oh yes. Definitely... Yes [they restored them]. No, I did during the period, but when it got to the point where they were well, I stopped... Just put it on your little finger and just look up and put it on the white of the eye itself and then roll it... Well, for somebody who has got glaucoma, they should do it two or three times a day. Because it actually feeds the eye, like if you were to put certain nutrients on your neck, it would be absorbed into your body."
