Crohn's disease, in Aajonus's framework, is fundamentally a failure of the body to manufacture and maintain adequate mucus in the intestinal lining. This is not a disease of mysterious immune dysfunction, autoimmune attack, or genetic destiny, it is a mechanical and chemical breakdown of the intestinal mucous membrane system, caused by specific, identifiable toxins that destroy the bacterial environment responsible for mucus production.
Aajonus's Definition
Crohn's disease, in Aajonus's framework, is fundamentally a failure of the body to manufacture and maintain adequate mucus in the intestinal lining. This is not a disease of mysterious immune dysfunction, autoimmune attack, or genetic destiny, it is a mechanical and chemical breakdown of the intestinal mucous membrane system, caused by specific, identifiable toxins that destroy the bacterial environment responsible for mucus production.
As Aajonus stated directly: "What is Crohn's disease? Crohn's disease is the inability of the body to manufacture mucus properly in your intestines."
He elaborated further: "The Crohn's disease is mainly that you do not have enough mucus in your intestines. So your body is trying to digest itself."
And again: "Crohn's disease is where the stomach mucous lining is very thin. Your own digested acids are getting through and digesting the intestinal wall."
The intestinal walls themselves are called mucous membranes, the name reflects their absolute dependence on mucus for structural protection. Without sufficient mucus, the normal digestive acids and bacteria that should be working only on food begin working on the intestinal wall itself. The wall becomes progressively thinner, weaker, and eventually tears when food is introduced. Once the wall tears, undigested food particles escape into the body cavity, a condition known as leaky gut. Crohn's disease is, in Aajonus's words, "an advanced case of leaky gut."
He also characterized Crohn's in systemic terms: "CROHN'S DISEASE is an inability to digest many cooked foods and the inability of the body to prevent undigested food from entering the blood, lymphatic and nervous systems. When undigested food particles enter those systems, they cause extreme reactions, such as painfully swollen and enlarged joints, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue."
In the most severe cases, the disease destroys not just the intestines but cascades into the joints, creating what appears to be severe arthritis and rheumatism, but is actually the body attempting to digest undigested food particles that have been deposited in joint tissue. "Crohn's is a disease that can get so bad in the intestines that all the poisons leak into the joints, then joints will swell up and become massive, and the toxicity is so bad it's horrendous and extremely painful. And usually these people die or live a very tortured life."
Additionally, Aajonus identified a precise biochemical picture of what accumulates in the intestines to cause Crohn's: "Several major toxins accumulate in the intestines: free-radicals, acrylamides, AGEs, and heterocyclic amines and other toxic protein-byproducts and wastes accompanied by cellular low-fat levels, and caustic bilious byproducts. Those toxins destroy the intestines' natural bacterial environment. That corrupts digestion. Specific vitamin-deficiencies include Vitamins K and U."

Root Cause
Aajonus identified multiple specific causes of Crohn's disease, all of which share the common mechanism of destroying the intestinal bacterial environment that produces and maintains the mucous lining.
The most frequently cited cause in Aajonus's teaching was penicillin and other antibiotics, especially when given in infancy or early childhood. He returned to this point repeatedly across many different seminars and writings:
"Ninety percent of the Crohn's disease that I've seen, and the IBS inflammatory bowel syndrome, has been created from penicillin."
"Utilizing my self-developed iridological analysis, I discovered that IBS and Crohn's mainly have been caused by penicillin and vaccines."
"The rate of Crohn's disease in children has gone up 2,000% in 50 years since they started using penicillin frequently. 2,000 times more Crohn's disease. It doesn't show we're getting healthier. And it's all mold related."
He explained the mechanism: penicillin is a mold, a specific fungal organism that is natural to birds who eat large quantities of grain. Birds have 60,000 times more digestive enzymes than humans and can process this mold through their system. "That penicillin mold in almost every other antibiotic that we have is a mold that is familiar in birds that eat lots of grains. They can harness it, they can handle it. It is their detoxification on a fungal level. But in the human body, we don't handle it well. So it grows, it grows in us, especially since it's been sterilized before it enters us. It's a very toxic substance and a radical mold."
Penicillin, being sterilized before injection, is introduced into the body as a non-living but chemically radical mold substance. Aajonus demonstrated this understanding from tissue analysis: "I've taken tissue samples from children who've died anywhere from the age of 2 to the age of 8, with the parents' permission. And guess what I find in those intestinal tracts? Molds."
He also confirmed that mold is essentially indestructible: "Till thrives mold will survive almost anything, fires, anything, but it changes its structure." And: "It only takes 9 to 18 months for mold to re-establish itself in a new form."
The penicillin mold, once in the human intestines, "destroys the intestinal environment. It paralyzes and changes the RNA and DNA of the digestive tract." This genetic damage is significant, it may prevent the intestines from ever regenerating the correct bacterial environment on their own. "That chemical damage to intestines may reach as deeply as intestinal DNA, preventing the natural bacterial environment of the intestines from perpetuating digestive bacteria. In such a case, unless a raw food diet is continuously consumed, symptoms of Crohn's will persist throughout life."
He could identify penicillin mold specifically through iridology: "I found a way to identify it in the irises, penicillin mold, and I found that 90% of the IBS inflammatory bowel syndrome and digestive disorders including Crohn's disease was caused by penicillin given at a young age."
Vaccines were consistently listed alongside antibiotics as a primary cause. "When antibiotic and vaccine toxins enter the intestines, they destroy the healthy bacterial environment of the intestines." He noted that vaccines contain mercury in liquid form, methylmercury, which is "ultra-dangerous" compared to crystallized mercury. "Every case of Crohn's", he stated in one passage, was associated with liquid mercury from vaccines or eye drops.
He elaborated: "That is ultra-dangerous. When it's crystallized into a rock, a stone, it isn't as dangerous. It's still dangerous, but not as dangerous as liquid mercury. That's what they inject in you, and you put methylator, and you cure from liquid mercury. Or if you use the eye drops, liquid mercury. Every case of Crohn's."
He also noted the historical timeline: "It used to be they wouldn't give a child a vaccine until it was a year old. But they would give them antibiotics and penicillin as soon as they were born, or sometime in that first year or two or five years that they are born. And that creates a lot of intestinal problems." Now, he stated, "they are doing it a day old, or right when they are born giving them hepatitis B."
Aajonus identified drinking plain water as a contributing cause of Crohn's and IBS: "A lot of Crohn's disease and IBS is created from drinking water. It dilutes everything." Water dilutes the digestive juices and thins the protective mucous lining, allowing the acids to penetrate and eat the intestinal wall. He directly challenged the "8 glasses of water a day" recommendation, attributing it to corporate interests rather than health science.
"Most cooked grains and potatoes are poisonous in cases of Crohn's." He stated that Crohn's sufferers are "usually very allergic to any cooked starch, any kind of grain product" and should "stay away from it like the plague." The reason is not merely that grains are hard to digest, cooked grains produce acrylamides, AGEs, heterocyclic amines, and other toxic byproducts that accumulate in and further destroy the intestinal lining.
Even after the initial damage is done, the condition perpetuates itself because the person is not consuming foods that help the body produce mucus. Milkshakes, raw milk blended with raw eggs and raw cream, are the primary mucus-forming food in Aajonus's system. When people avoid dairy or fat, they deprive the intestinal walls of the substrate needed for mucus. "That mostly occurs in people who stay away from things that form mucus. Like milkshakes are the best thing to form mucus."

Why This Happens
Crohn's disease sits at the intersection of multiple causal principles in Aajonus's framework:
Root Cause / Terrain Theory: The disease begins with the destruction of the bacterial terrain of the intestines by industrial chemicals, penicillin mold and vaccine toxins. Without a healthy bacterial environment, the mucous membrane cannot be maintained.
Cooked Food: Cooked grains, potatoes, processed foods, and pasteurized dairy are all implicated in perpetuating and worsening the condition. Acrylamides and AGEs from cooked food build up in the intestines and are specifically listed as among the toxins that destroy intestinal bacteria.
Detoxification: Many of the symptoms, joint swelling, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, are reframed by Aajonus not as the disease itself but as the body's attempt to handle undigested food particles and toxins that have escaped the digestive tract. The joints become a secondary digestive environment because the body is routing undigested material there.
Microbes: Beneficial bacteria, particularly E. coli, acidophilus, and the full range of intestinal flora, are central to the condition. Their destruction by penicillin and vaccines is the initiating event. Their restoration through raw animal food, raw eggs, clay, and pig intestines is the foundation of recovery.
Raw Food / How to Eat: The resolution of Crohn's is almost entirely dietary. The specific protocol, raw eggs eaten alone in small quantities throughout the day, raw milk in tiny sips, raw butter with honey, and eventually raw meat, maps precisely onto the "How to Eat" framework for damaged digestive systems.
Sovereignty: Aajonus consistently emphasized that Crohn's is never reversed in medical treatment, "Nobody that goes into the medical profession with Crohn's ever reverses it. It only gets worse." The condition is treated as a lifelong disease requiring medication, whereas on the Primal Diet it can be reversed in 6 to 9 months.

Symptoms Reframed
Aajonus described the progression of Crohn's in precise mechanical terms. It begins with insufficient mucus. The digestive acids, hydrochloric acid, bile, and digestive bacteria, that should only act on food begin eating through unprotected sections of the intestinal wall. "The intestinal wall is getting very thin and when you eat it causes ripping of the gut so you have leaky gut." Over time, the wall becomes thinner and thinner. Eventually, eating triggers a tearing of the gut wall.
Once the gut wall tears, undigested food particles escape into the body cavity. The body must handle these particles somewhere. Aajonus identified a specific hierarchy of where the body sends this material:
1. Knees, first destination, 80% of the time 2. Hips, second 3. Shoulders, third 4. Elbows, fourth
"From some reason goes to the joints, knees usually first and hips and shoulders and elbows in that order, most often not all the time, but 80% of the time that's the order."
The body sends these food particles to the joints because joint cartilage is "the next most resilient place" after the stomach lining. The stomach lining is the most resilient tissue in the body (it produces hydrochloric acid without dissolving itself). Cartilage is second. "The body sends it to the joints, the next most resilient place. You've got hard cartilage there, resilient cartilage."
Once food particles arrive in the joints, the body generates digestive bacteria and acids, including hydrochloric acid and bile, to break down those particles. "The body will take food particles to the joints and make digested acids like hydrochloric acid and bile to start digesting it." This digestive activity in the joints causes all the classic symptoms of arthritis and rheumatism: swelling, pain, redness, inflammation, and warmth in the joint.
"You've got bile there already breaking down any fat that you pump into yourself." The darker color sometimes seen in knees and joints in these patients is explained by Aajonus as the presence of bile being sent to those areas for digestion.
The bacteria in arthritic joints is not attacking the cartilage by design, it is attempting to digest the food particles. However, the digestive activity simultaneously erodes cartilage as collateral damage. "That's arthritis, and that's rheumatoid arthritis, and that's rheumatism. So 85% I've seen of those diseases come from leaky gut."
"90% of arthritis and rheumatism is caused by Crohn's disease." He stated this consistently across multiple seminars. "Eighty to eighty-five percent of arthritis and rheumatism is caused by Crohn's. Leaky gut." He also said: "Most arthritis and rheumatism is caused by Crohn's leaky gut."
The remaining 10-15% of arthritis cases he attributed to vaccine poisonings, metallic poisonings, and genuine joint injury (such as in athletes with repetitive cartilage bruising).
Aajonus explicitly connected the epidemic of hip and knee replacements to Crohn's-related leaky gut: "When you see these big knees getting worse and worse and you see people getting hip and knee replacements it's because of the leaky gut 90% of the time."
Beyond joint symptoms, undigested food particles entering the blood, lymphatic, and nervous systems cause "extreme reactions, such as painfully swollen and enlarged joints, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue."
One questioner asked specifically about a relative whose Crohn's had evolved into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, confirming Aajonus's view that these conditions exist on the same continuum.
"Gastritis happens a lot of times when you have gas. You have toxins that dump into the intestinal wall and there's not enough mucus to harness them in the mucus lining. It's almost always in people who are too thin, especially when you have Crohn's disease or any kind of inflammatory bowel system. They don't create mucus properly, enough to protect the lining. So the poisons don't get locked into the mucus, they get into the digestive tract where the food is. Then your digestive juices mix with those poisons and it creates gas."
In a personal reading, Aajonus noted: "Crohn's is still a prominent indication in your irises. Lupus is the disintegration of connective tissue. The first symptoms are usually excessive skin sensitivity. Advanced symptoms are swelling under the skin and such sensitivity that a person cannot lift a pencil or be touched without severe pain. Your irises indicate that you have an abundance of very caustic toxins under your skin." This suggests Aajonus saw Crohn's as a potential precursor to lupus in cases of severe systemic toxicity.

Food Protocol
The central, non-negotiable element of Aajonus's Crohn's protocol is raw eggs consumed in very large quantities, eaten alone or in very small portions throughout the day. The reason is mechanical and biochemical: "Our stomachs and intestines digest raw eggs eaten by themselves in about 30 minutes." This means the intestines are not subjected to prolonged digestive labor. "The whole body doesn't spend all that time digesting fractionated clumps of meat and other foods. It's all liquid. So those egg nutrients go right in there."
In Crohn's specifically, the problem is that the digestive juices are eating the intestinal lining. Raw eggs, being absorbed within the first five inches of the intestine, bypass the damaged areas entirely. "An egg, however, is absorbed within five inches of the intestine, so the intestines don't have to work."
Contrast this with milk: "Let's say the milk finds a spot where it's already torn and there's an ulceration; it's not going to heal. You'll have leaky gut every time, it will tear every time it reaches that area."
And with meat: "Meats take 19-20 hours to digest. That's a lot of time. That's a lot of energy for everything to work."
Aajonus specified precise quantities depending on body size and severity:
- Minimum: 20 to 22 eggs per day
- Standard: 30 eggs per day
- For large individuals: 50 eggs per day
- For adults and children (newsletter specification): 8 to 30 raw eggs daily
- Eating frequency: "You eat eggs all day long. A little bit at a time."
- Maximum at one sitting: Never more than one egg's worth of food at a time, and "an egg is never more than two ounces."
- Timing: "Never go 5 hours without eating. At any time, any time of the day. Night time is your worst."
Eggs must be eaten raw. The method matters for Crohn's specifically:
"Absolutely! Have to take raw eggs Rocky-style or like I do, sucked out of the eggshell. If you mix with milk, slows it down and it will take 6-10 hours to digest and it's complicated. Can take much longer, 5-20 times longer to heal if mixed with milk."
A specific short-term protocol is outlined: "Eating 1-2 cage-free raw eggs every 1-2 hours followed by ¼ teaspoon unheated honey for 3-5 days."
For Crohn's with serious digestive problems, one specific eating sequence was described: "If you have Crohn's disease or a serious digestive problem, eat 4 or 5 eggs. If it's taking over that 25 minutes you have, you consume those eggs, then you have cheese again, 10 minutes after that you finish your eggs."
In another protocol variation: "In the morning you have your cheese, 10 minutes after that you suck an egg. Five, 10 minutes after that you suck another egg."
Eggs must be eaten by themselves for maximum effect in Crohn's: "You need eggs by themselves." The purity of raw eggs means they absorb in minutes and give the intestines a complete rest. "There's no difficulty. Eggs are so pure and absorb so fast."
The newsletter states: "For adults and children with Crohn's disease, I suggest consuming 8-30 raw eggs daily as well as consuming probiotics such as moist clay and/or pigs intestines."
Eaten alongside eggs: "A little honey and butter. Like two parts butter to one part honey." This combination provides fat for mucus production and simple carbohydrate that doesn't stress the intestines.
"Sip milk a little bit. But you live on eggs." The specific limit is critical: "No more than one or two tablespoons of milk at a time." This is because milk takes far longer to digest than eggs and can find its way to torn areas of the intestinal wall. Sipping in very tiny amounts reduces this risk.
"You never eat more than an egg worth of food at a time. And an egg is never more than two ounces."
For Crohn's people specifically, Aajonus noted: "You need it fresher. Fresh is fine." He cautioned against milk that is warmer or older.
Despite the caution about large amounts of milk, milkshakes (raw milk blended with raw eggs and raw cream) are identified as "the best thing to form mucus." For Crohn's and arthritis together:
"Whenever I have somebody on Crohn's or who has arthritis and rheumatism, I put them on two, three milkshakes a day. And with a very quick time, their symptoms are mitigated by 85%."
This appears to be a progression, early stages use eggs alone with tiny sips of milk; as the gut stabilizes and begins producing mucus, milkshakes can be introduced to accelerate mucus production.
"You eat only eggs and butter and honey... You just don't eat much meat, one meat a day."
Later in the protocol: "Put her on a raw meat diet, everything minced, lots of milkshakes, and in six months, her knees were completely normal."
The rationale for minimal meat early on: meats take 19-20 hours to digest. A Crohn's gut cannot handle prolonged digestive effort. But raw meat is uniquely powerful: "Even in very severe Crohn's disease where people can't digest much, raw meat still will increase cellular division and healing." No other food, not nuts, not grains, not germinated seeds, can increase cellular division. Only raw meat.
The specific detail about meat preparation: "everything minced", indicating small particle size to reduce digestive burden.
"If you have very poor digestion, you have colitis or Crohn's or something like that, you do not want to eat and drink a lot of different foods at the same time... So you eat lots of eggs. You eat cheese."
Cheese serves multiple functions in Crohn's: it absorbs toxins before they damage the intestinal lining, it is non-digestively demanding, and it helps maintain caloric density when overall food volume is restricted. "Cheese goes in first to absorb the toxins, egg follows to give the easiest most digestible food that there is."
Cheese is described as "an incredible tool" and the discovery of how to use it properly is what reduced Aajonus's reversal time from "sometimes 5 years to 6 years to reverse Crohn's" down to "6 to 8 months."
"The ingestion of raw green cabbage juice has proved to be effective", specifically mentioned in relation to the Vitamin K and U deficiencies that accompany Crohn's. This is listed passage as an effective supplemental remedy where standard vitamin supplements fail because of processing.
"For adults and children with Crohn's disease, I suggest consuming 8-30 raw eggs daily as well as consuming probiotics such as moist clay and/or pigs intestines."
The newsletter specifies that clay must be mixed with vegetable juices or milk, and that carbonation must be removed from any carbonated water before mixing (by shaking in a jar until all bubbles are gone). The clay serves as a probiotic, it carries beneficial bacteria and minerals into the intestinal environment. However, Aajonus distinguished the clay protocol for non-Crohn's digestion issues from the Crohn's protocol: for poor digestion without Crohn's, 1-2 tablespoons of moist clay daily; the Crohn's protocol specifically prioritizes eggs as the foundation, with clay as an adjunct.
This is one of the most specific protocols Aajonus described for Crohn's. He had access to a buffalo rancher who would tie off sections of buffalo bowel like sausages and send them to him and his network.
"Then you cut off like 2 ounces at a time with the bowel in itself and that will help you regenerate."
The logic here connects to E. coli replenishment: "60-80% of faecal matter should be E. coli and E. coli byproducts." The intestines of a buffalo contain the full bacterial environment needed to replenish a destroyed human intestinal terrain. This is described as a probiotic intervention, consuming the gut flora of a healthy animal to re-seed a damaged human intestine. "Our stomachs and intestines digest raw eggs eaten by themselves in about 30 minutes", and the pig/buffalo intestines provide the living bacterial environment that makes digestion possible again.
Aajonus had a "tight little quiet network" for obtaining this material.
While not something Aajonus directly prescribed for Crohn's (he mentioned he had not been able to successfully implant trichinosis in himself due to radiation and chemical damage), he cited the work of Dr. Joel Weinstock at Iowa University extensively as proof that intestinal parasites naturally belong in the human digestive tract and that their absence is itself pathological.
Dr. Weinstock took six patients who had suffered inflammatory bowel syndrome (a related but less severe condition than Crohn's, "Crohn's is worse") for 10 to 32 years. He gave them whipworm eggs in Gatorade. "Five of those six patients in six days had no symptoms of their bowel disease." Aajonus cited this repeatedly as evidence that beneficial parasites are "predigesting their food, making their food available", and that their absence, caused by hygienic practices and antibiotic use, is central to intestinal disease.
He described Crohn's specifically as worse than inflammatory bowel syndrome: "Crohn's is worse. Crohn's, you have lesions in your abdominal area. Undigested food passes into the gut, gets into joints, causes joint swelling."
The five who responded to trichinosis "didn't change their diet or anything. All they had was the worms. And then after five months they were back on his door wanting more parasites."
For joint problems arising from Crohn's-related leaky gut: "The hot water bottles are so important for any kind of joint problem." This is a localized therapy to bring blood flow, digestive activity, and healing to joints that are serving as secondary digestive environments.
"The Crohn's disease is mainly that you do not have enough mucus in your intestines... Eat lots of eggs... lots and lots of eggs... You have it with eggs and milk but you need eggs by themselves, and fresh aloe juice. I would down 10-12 a day if mixed with milk."
Fresh aloe juice is mentioned in this context to help soothe and protect the intestinal lining while it rebuilds.
Aajonus drew a careful distinction: "If you have somebody who has a very, very poor digestive tract, not like Crohn's, because Crohn's is one that I wouldn't suggest that with, but they've got inflammatory bowel syndrome, you might eat a salad once a week."
For general poor digestion, he suggested "a little cube of pineapple or papaya with their meals, especially meat meals to help digestion." But he explicitly excluded Crohn's patients from pineapple-based digestive aids in certain contexts, as the digestive activity of pineapple (bromelain) could be too intense for a torn intestinal wall.
However, in another passage he described pineapple as useful for a different problem: "Cut up some pineapple in a jar and have a chunk about every 2-3 hours. With that small amount you don't need butter or honey with it." This appeared to be in the context of prolonged gastric recovery, with half a teaspoon of butter or cheese permissible alongside.
"Some people have really bad digestion, without having Crohn's disease... This is not a time to eat other foods other than egg and cheese. Cheese goes in first to absorb the toxins, egg follows to give the easiest most digestible food that there is."

What to Avoid
- i
"Most cooked grains and potatoes are poisonous in cases of Crohn's." Aajonus stated that Crohn's patients are "very allergic to any cooked starch, any kind of grain product" and should "stay away from it like the plague." He attributed this to the fact that cooking grains produces toxic byproducts, acrylamides, AGEs, heterocyclic amines, that further destroy the intestinal bacterial environment that is already compromised.
- ii
"Nothing that is a complex digestive matter is to be avoided. Anything that is complex matter to be digested is avoided. The liquid protein and the liquid fat", meaning the diet must be kept as simple and liquid as possible to avoid forcing a damaged intestine to perform complex digestive labor.
- iii
"You never eat more than an egg worth of food at a time. And an egg is never more than two ounces." Even a half cup of food can be too much for severe Crohn's: "A half a cup can be too much. They'll split their gut and they have leaky gut."
- iv
"A lot of Crohn's disease and IBS is created from drinking water. It dilutes everything." Water dilutes digestive juices and thins the mucous lining, allowing acids to penetrate and eat the intestinal wall. Plain water drinking should be minimized, and hydration should come from raw milk, raw eggs, and other raw fluid foods.
- v
"Don't go 5 hours without eating. At any time, any time of the day. Night time is your worst." Going without food for extended periods allows digestive acids to continue eroding the intestinal lining without protective food present.
- vi
This is a critical warning Aajonus repeated through multiple case histories. The senator's granddaughter recovered completely, her knees normalized, and then "two years later she wanted to be like all of her peers so she went back to eating" cooked and processed food. "Four years later she was back into the first stages of Crohn's again." Another version of the same case: "A year later, she went back onto a crappy diet because she was well. Three years later, she was back into Crohn's again."
- vii
"When you're cured, you're cured because you're eating properly. You start eating garbage again, you're going to get unwell again."
- viii
He had "a lot of people do that. A lot of people go on the diet for ten years, and then find a partner that wants cooked food, and they go do that, and then, you know..."
- ix
Given that 90% of Crohn's is caused by penicillin and other antibiotics, continued use of antibiotics will perpetuate or worsen the condition. The doctors who treated the 14-year-old girl with Crohn's "treated her with medication and antibiotics for two and a half years", and she was a mess. The medical approach of treating intestinal inflammation with antibiotics directly destroys more of the intestinal bacteria needed for recovery.
- x
Aajonus told one Crohn's patient directly: "You can't eat candy. You can't eat soda. Anything like that. You have to stop everything."
- xi
While not specifically mentioned in the context of Crohn's, Aajonus warned strongly against colonics generally because they wash out E. coli, the critical final-stage digestive bacteria. In the context of Crohn's, where intestinal bacteria are already severely depleted, removing more E. coli through colonics would be catastrophically counterproductive.
- xii
"If you have somebody who has a very, very poor digestive tract, not like Crohn's because Crohn's is one that I wouldn't suggest that with." Vegetable matter, even juiced, introduces pulp and fiber that a Crohn's intestine cannot handle. Whole vegetable salads are particularly contraindicated.
- xiii

Recovery Timeline
"It used to take me sometimes 5 years to 6 years to reverse Crohn's."
"Now I can do it in 6 to 8 months."
Multiple versions of this case appear across different seminar transcripts. Synthesizing all versions:
- The girl was either 13 or 14 years old (different transcripts give slightly different ages)
- She was the granddaughter of "a famous senator"
- She had Crohn's disease with severely swollen knees "as big as my head" and blown-out ankles
- She could not walk without severe pain
- Doctors had treated her with medication and antibiotics for "two and a half years" to "three years", to no improvement, only worsening
- Aajonus put her on the diet with "lots of eggs and lots of dairy," in one version "everything minced, lots of milkshakes," in another version specifically eggs, butter, honey, and milk
- In six months: her knees were completely normal
- In nine months: "she was normal" (another version)
- She stayed on the diet for two to two and a half years
- Then returned to eating with her peers (soda, processed food)
- Two to four years later: Crohn's returned (first stages)
- She returned to the diet again
"Our stomachs and intestines digest raw eggs eaten by themselves in about 30 minutes." This means there is essentially zero digestive stress on the intestinal wall with each egg consumed alone. Over 30 eggs per day, the intestines are getting sustained nourishment with minimal effort, allowing the damaged wall to begin rebuilding.
"Anywhere from three months to two and a half years to correct a digestive tract is nothing when people suffer their entire life with inflammatory bowel disease." The range reflects the degree of damage, some cases with purely bacterial damage (no genetic damage to intestinal DNA) recover in months; cases where chemicals have caused genetic damage to the intestines may require continuous adherence to raw food without ever achieving full independent recovery.
"Raw animal products, with their natural beneficial bacteria and enzymes have helped restore digestion in all cases, but did not completely reverse Crohn's in a few cases where chemicals had caused genetic damage to the intestines."
Recovery is conditional, it persists only as long as the diet is maintained. The intestinal DNA damage caused by penicillin may be permanent: "unless a raw food diet is continuously consumed, symptoms of Crohn's will persist throughout life." This is not a criticism, Aajonus framed it as the reality of the damage done, and presented the Primal Diet as the ongoing solution rather than a temporary fix.
In one Q&A, a question was asked about a father with Crohn's whose knee and bone had been worn completely through. Aajonus answered: "At this late stage, to cleanse and heal his condition could take 2-5 years. If he gets an artificial knee, he could be walking painlessly in several months. However, if he does not resolve the problem that caused his joint deterioration, he will have problems elsewhere and pain in the replaced knee. Many people with replacement joints suffered unending pain until they began eating raw meat. Most sufferers completely eliminated crippling replacement pain within 2 weeks of consuming raw meat." This suggests even at the extreme end of Crohn's-caused joint destruction, raw meat produces results within 2 weeks for pain relief.
Dr. Weinstock's patients (IBS, not Crohn's) showed results in 4-6 days from trichinosis. Five of six patients were "completely asymptomatic" after suffering for 10 to 32 years. Aajonus used this as evidence of what is possible when the intestinal environment is properly supported, even at extreme chronicity.

Questions Aajonus Answered
- Q: What is Crohn's disease, and what do you do for it?
"What is Crohn's disease? Crohn's disease is the inability of the body to manufacture mucus properly in your intestines. That can come from a vaccine, antibiotics, or anything like that. And most people get Crohn's disease following a long period of antibiotics or injections of penicillin. So the body starts making mucus, or thick mucus... the mucus doesn't coat the intestinal lining well enough, and some of your own digestive acids will start eating away at your intestinal lining in spots where there's not enough mucus, or it's too thin. So then the intestines over the years get thin and thinner, or right away very quickly. You've got a lot of good digestive acids like hydrochloric acid, very thin mucus, you're going to eat your intestinal wall pretty thin, pretty quickly."
"Crohn's is pretty easy. You have to live on eggs for a while. You just don't eat much meat, one meat a day, and you have cheese, eggs."
- Q: What do Crohn's people do specifically with food?
"So what do you do? You eat only eggs and butter and honey. Sip milk a little bit. But you live on eggs. You eat 30 eggs a day. 50 eggs a day if you're a big person. And you want to maintain your weight. But at least 20, 22 eggs a day. And you eat eggs all day long. A little bit at a time. A little honey and butter. Like two parts butter to one part honey. And you just sip on milk. No more than one or two tablespoons of milk at a time. You never eat more than an egg worth of food at a time. And an egg is never more than two ounces."
- Q: What about eating intervals? Can Crohn's patients sleep normally?
"For Crohn's disease people, is that [warmer milk] still okay? No, you need it fresher. Fresh is fine... Some people like to sleep 4 hours and sleep 4 hours. Eat and sleep 4 hours. Just figure out what works for you. Just don't go 5 hours without eating. At any time, any time of the day. Night time is your worst."
- Q: A relative had Crohn's for many years and it evolved into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Eggs?
"Absolutely! Have to take raw eggs Rocky-style or like I do, sucked out of the eggshell. If you mix with milk, slows it down and it will take 6-10 hours to digest and it's complicated. Can take much longer, 5-20 times longer to heal if mixed with milk. Eggs are so pure and absorb so fast, there's no difficulty. Let's say the milk finds a spot where it's already torn and there's an ulceration; it's not going to heal. You'll have leaky gut every time, it will tear every time it reaches that area. You'll have digestive juices, acids and bacteria working on the food in that spot. An egg, however, is absorbed within five inches of the intestine, so the intestines don't have to work."
- Q: For some people, you never suggest more than 2 eggs at a time?
"That depends on the individual. For her, I would never suggest having more than 2 at a time."
- Q: Is the bone and cartilage worn through part of Crohn's? Should my father get an artificial knee?
"At this late stage, to cleanse and heal his condition could take 2-5 years. If he gets an artificial knee, he could be walking painlessly in several months. However, if he does not resolve the problem that caused his joint deterioration, he will have problems elsewhere and pain in the replaced knee. Many people with replacement joints suffered unending pain until they began eating raw meat. Most sufferers completely eliminated crippling replacement pain within 2 weeks of consuming raw meat."
- Q: My October 2010 reading showed a sign of Crohn's, how does it look now?
"Crohn's is still a prominent indication in your irises. Lupus is the disintegration of connective tissue. The first symptoms are usually excessive skin sensitivity. Advanced symptoms are swelling under the skin and such sensitivity that a person cannot lift a pencil or be touched without severe pain. Your irises indicate that you have an abundance of very caustic toxins under your skin. Again, all medical tests are purposely constructed to convince people that they are deficient in something that can be corrected with supplements or medication. Only the proper raw foods [are the answer]."
- Q: What about Crohn's and the formula to get rid of fungus?
"I created that formula mainly to get rid of fungus from vaccines, from antibiotics, including penicillin, because they do live in everybody's body... Now they are doing it a day old, or right when they are born giving them hepatitis B. But it used to be they wouldn't give a child a vaccine until it was a year old. But they would give them antibiotics and penicillin as soon as they were born, or sometime in that first year or two or five years that they are born. And that creates a lot of intestinal problems. Ninety percent of the Crohn's disease that I've seen, and the IBS inflammatory bowel syndrome, has been created from penicillin."
