Premature Aging
Premature Aging

Premature aging, in Aajonus's framework, is not a natural or inevitable process. It is a pathological condition, the accelerated deterioration of the body caused entirely by accumulated toxicity, nutritional deficiency, limited cellular reproduction, cellular mutations, and cellular exhaustion. He states this explicitly and repeatedly: **"Aging and deterioration do not have to be synonymous."**

Aajonus's Definition

Premature aging, in Aajonus's framework, is not a natural or inevitable process. It is a pathological condition, the accelerated deterioration of the body caused entirely by accumulated toxicity, nutritional deficiency, limited cellular reproduction, cellular mutations, and cellular exhaustion. He states this explicitly and repeatedly: "Aging and deterioration do not have to be synonymous."

The word "premature" in this context carries a very specific mathematical meaning for Aajonus. All creatures in nature live seven times the period it takes them to finish maturation. For humans, maturation is complete at approximately 21 years old. Seven times 21 equals 147 years. He considers 147 years the biological minimum lifespan potential for a human being, and he subtracts roughly a decade because he has no documented record of anyone living beyond 138 years, arriving at 138 as the practical upper boundary of confirmed human lifespan. Therefore, any death prior to age 138 is, by Aajonus's definition, a premature death. He states this directly in his newsletter: "My mind views any death prior to at least age 138 as a premature death."

He extends this to physical deterioration as well. It is not just early death that constitutes premature aging, it is the visible and functional decline of the body at any point before the organism has exhausted its natural cellular lifespan at full vitality. He points to wild animals as the standard: "I can never tell a really old one from any other mature one, unless they haven't had a lot to eat and are drying out... otherwise I can't tell the difference between a healthy animal, a younger animal, and an old animal once they reach beyond a few years beyond their maturation age."

The human body under optimal raw food conditions should not show signs of deterioration at 60, 70, 80, 90 years old. The fact that it typically does is premature aging, entirely caused by the way humans eat and live, not by the passage of time itself.

He considers the commonly accepted "average death age" to be itself a product of premature aging on a population-wide scale. He states that the real average death age, if accounting for all deaths including infant and childhood deaths, is still approximately in the late 40s, no different from what it was 100 years ago, despite all claims of modern medicine extending lifespan. "The lifespan average 47 years old. It's no different than it was back then. Still that age if you consider everybody."

Root Cause

Root Cause

Aajonus identifies multiple interlocking root causes for premature aging, all operating within his larger terrain theory framework. None of them are considered natural or inevitable. All are caused by diet, toxicity, and the resulting cellular dysfunction.

Root Cause 1: Cooked Food and the Pancreatic Bank Account Depletion

The foundational mechanism of premature aging in Aajonus's system is what he calls the "bank account" of cellular nutrients. Every time a person eats cooked food, the pancreas is forced to release hormones, primarily insulin, that go to every single cell in the body and extract minute amounts of proteins, fats, enzymes, and other nutrients to compensate for what was destroyed by cooking. He describes this process vividly: "It's like sending out a couple of thugs. It goes around each person's throat. You need a few cents of your proteins, your fats, your enzymes, everything you have. It goes and collects it from everybody, and you don't have a choice."

This leaching process, repeated at every cooked meal throughout a lifetime, depletes the cellular bank account progressively. "By the time you're 40 years old, you've spent 50% or more of your bank account. All that reserve is gone. Your body's 50% weaker." By age 60, the bank account is "pretty gone, pretty deficient."

He extends this framework to the production of enzymes: "The medical profession and the food industry say, oh no, your body produces them, does not produce them. Money does not grow on trees just like enzymes don't grow in the body. It leaches them from your body. We get those enzymes every time we eat if we haven't destroyed the food."

Even dehydration destroys enzymes: "A lot of people think dehydrated food is raw food. It is not. Enzymes are not bioactive. They become hardened and they're not stable."

The result of this progressive depletion: cells begin dying faster than they are replaced. "We lose more cells than we produce every day. Maybe it's a couple of thousand, and you've got something like 65 to 80 trillion cells in your body." By the time a person reaches 60–70 years old, only a fraction of their cells remain alive and functional. "Usually the body dies... when they only have 22% of the body alive." He describes elderly people moving slowly across streets as having perhaps 22–25% of their cells alive, attempting to carry and move 100% of the body weight. "Can you imagine 22% not healthy, supporting the weight and the energy that needs to be produced and the chores that need to be done for 100% of the weight of the body? Hell, I'd want to get out, too."

Root Cause 2: Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs), The Drying and Brittleness Agent

Aajonus places enormous emphasis on Advanced Glycation End Products as a direct mechanism of premature aging. He references Columbia University research repeatedly and explains the mechanism in detail.

When carbohydrates are used as fuel, whether as brain fuel or for any other bodily function, the body produces AGEs as a waste byproduct. In a healthy body, Columbia University found that 70% of all AGEs produced are stored in the body for a lifetime. In a compromised body, or in a person with diabetes or compromised kidneys, the storage rate rises to 90%. "Columbia University in New York found that 70% of those advanced glycation end products stored in the body for a lifetime."

These stored AGEs cause multiple deteriorating effects: - They cause brittleness throughout the body - They cause dryness throughout the body - "When you're 30, 40, 50 years old, all of a sudden the skin starts sagging, or you bloat, your muscles start falling because it becomes concentrated like in Coca-Cola. So it becomes an acid and starts dissolving the body." - They cause deterioration of the kidneys: "That's why elderly people have kidney problems because of all that sugar acid eating away at the kidney." - They damage the bladder - They cause deterioration of the liver - They cause stickiness in the blood, in the lymph, and in the neurological system: "Those thoughts when you say where did that go, where did that go, can't find that, that's because too much sugar in the area, it's sticky, the synapses aren't firing." - They predispose the body to cancer and mold infections including candida and other yeast infections

Aajonus distinguishes the metabolic pathway that produces glycogen from fat (with the help of glucagon) versus from carbohydrates. When the body makes glycogen from fat using glucagon, Columbia found it produces only 7–8% AGE byproduct, which the body can handle. "There is absolutely no storage of AGE" at that rate. But when glycogen is made from carbohydrates, it produces 70–90% AGE waste product, and "of that 70–90% is storable for your lifetime."

He connects AGE accumulation to the visible physical signs of premature aging in athletes specifically: "What happens to those athletes like Billie Jean King, dried up, wrinkled, McEnroe, all of them, dried up and wrinkled, they're gone and out of the field no longer champions by the time they hit their late 30s and early 40s. Why so young?" The answer is the high-carbohydrate sports diet producing massive AGE accumulation.

Root Cause 3: Pituitary Gland Breakdown and Loss of Growth Hormone Production

The pituitary gland governs growth hormone production. On a raw diet, the pituitary continues to produce growth hormones throughout life. On a cooked food diet, its function degrades dramatically. "When you're 21 years old, pituitary doesn't stop functioning. You still create growth hormones throughout your body." But on a toxic cooked diet, "that cellular division slows. The older you get because of the toxicity, the way you eat, the slower cells divide."

He compares this to what happens with domesticated animals fed processed food: "If you give it to puppies and kittens, the cooked food, kibble, and all that processed food, they stop also. At two years old, they're stopped almost completely." Raw foods allow growth hormone production to continue beyond 20–21 years old: "Raw foods helps us produce growth hormones beyond 20, 21 years old, so we can stay healthier. We produce more cells, and we won't have more dead cells than live cells, and that's what happens with age and deterioration or synonymous today, because we lose more cells than we produce."

Growth hormones, in his framework, are fundamentally nutrients that enable rapid cellular division. Without them, cellular reproduction slows, more cells die than are replaced, and the body literally shrinks in its living cellular population: "This huge body that you had developed from one single cell and then a double cell, and it kept growing into the mass that you are now. You need a lot of growth hormones to keep your cellular life at a high level and that's 90%. When a baby is born, 10% of its body, 10% of its cells are dead."

Root Cause 4: Industrial Toxicity and Metal Accumulation

Aajonus identifies accumulated environmental and industrial toxins, particularly metals, as a compounding cause of premature aging. Cooked food fractures ionic mineral bonds, turning trace minerals into free radicals. The pancreas, in a healthy state, works to reunite those bonds. "The older you get, the more exhausted your body gets, and the less you're able to do it. That's why aging and deterioration are synonymous."

These industrial toxins remain in the body and progressively shut down organs and impair body parts and function: "The more industrial toxins remain in the body, then organs shut down, body parts are impaired, and then functionality... when you get up to old age you can have maybe 25% of your body alive."

He also cites heavy metal contamination from vaccinations and chemical injections as directly causing premature aging in his own body: "This last year I've aged tremendously. I was subdued after my international radio broadcast on the swine flu... I got death threats the next day for the next three weeks." He connects the poisoning attacks he experienced to accelerated aging in his own case.

Root Cause 5: Cooked Food's Effect on Lifespan, The Pottenger/Howell Evidence

Aajonus repeatedly references the work of Francis Pottenger and Edward Howell with cats and rats as empirical proof that cooked food directly causes premature aging and lifespan reduction. "Animals that are fed cooked diets, like Howell and Pottinger, when they did their work with cats and rats, they dropped their lifespans down a third, just in the first generation, cooked food. And then it got progressively worse, to half. And that's where we are. Half."

By the third generation on all-cooked food, the animals became impotent and produced deformed offspring. By the fourth or fifth generation, they were extinct. "What generation are we in to all cooked foods as of 1947?"

The reverse process, recovering from cooked food damage, also takes multiple generations of cellular replacement. When Howell and Pottinger tried to reverse the diseases of those animals on a perfect diet, "it took five generations for them to become optimally healthy." For humans, one generation of cells takes seven to seven and a half years to complete (the time required to replace every cell in the body once). Therefore: 5 × 7.5 = 37.5 years, approximately 40 years, on an optimal raw diet to completely undo the premature aging caused by cooked food and toxicity.

Root Cause 6: Height Reduction as Measurable Premature Aging

Aajonus addresses the conventional scientific claim that all people shrink through their lifetime due to the constant force of gravity. He reframes this entirely: "I believe that the scientific theory that everyone shrinks through her/his lifetime due to the constant force of gravity on the body applies to people eating foods that fail to supply complete nutrition. It is not gravity that causes people to shrink, but poor nutrition."

He documents his own parents as evidence of conventional aging/shrinking: - His father's growth-maturity height was 5'6". At age 64, he stated gravity had shrunk him almost 2". At death at 92.6 years old, he was 5'1.5", a total shrinkage of 4.5" in the last 73 years of his life. - His mother completed growth at 5'4.1". At death at 91.7 years old, she was 4'11.5", a shrinkage of 4.6" in the last 71 years of her life.

By contrast, Aajonus's own height at growth maturity was 5'7.6". After radiation and chemotherapy at age 22 caused a half-inch reduction to 5'6.9", he subsequently recovered and grew to 5'7.8" at age 64, gaining 0.7 inches in the latter 42 years of his life, surpassing his original mature height by 0.2 inches. He attributes this entirely to the Primal Diet reversing the medical-treatment-related deterioration.

Why This Happens

Why This Happens

Premature aging touches nearly every principle of Aajonus's philosophical framework, but it sits primarily within the following:

Root Cause / Terrain Theory: The fundamental argument is that premature aging is a terrain problem, accumulated toxicity and nutritional deficiency in the cellular environment, not the passage of time, causes deterioration. The body's cells, when properly nourished with raw foods, do not deteriorate with age.

Cooked Food: The primary proximate cause of premature aging is cooked food, which destroys enzymes, fractures mineral bonds, depletes the pancreatic/cellular bank account, and triggers a lifetime of AGE accumulation.

Detoxification: The reversal of premature aging is fundamentally a multi-decade detoxification process, 40 years on an optimal diet to fully replace all cells and purge accumulated toxins from the hardest tissues (bone, cartilage, teeth).

How to Eat: Specific food protocols (fat ratios, fruit pairing with fat, vegetable juices followed by protein meals, avoiding high-carbohydrate foods) directly govern the rate of AGE production and therefore the rate of premature aging.

How to Live: Premature aging is also addressed in terms of lifestyle, the presence of toxins from vaccination, industrial pollution, stress hormones from death threats, and surgical intervention all accelerate aging in his framework.

Sovereignty: Aajonus frames premature aging as something the medical and food industries perpetuate by denying people the knowledge that 147–150-year healthy lifespans are biologically possible. "I believe that our present authorities do not want us to know what is possible for health and longevity because it contradicts everything we are told and lead to believe about health and longevity."

Symptoms Reframed

Symptoms Reframed

Aajonus reframes every conventional "sign of aging" as a symptom of a correctable toxic and nutritional deficiency state:

Loss of skin tone, skin sagging, wrinkling: Not aging, AGE accumulation from lifetime carbohydrate consumption becoming concentrated and acid-like, dissolving and drying tissues. "When you're 30, 40, 50 years old all of a sudden the skin starts sagging or you bloat, your muscles start falling because it becomes concentrated like in Coca-Cola. So it becomes an acid and starts dissolving the body."

Muscle deterioration, loss of muscle tone: Loss of growth hormone production from the pituitary (caused by cooked food and toxicity) combined with AGE accumulation dissolving tissue. Cellular bank account depletion means fewer live cells to maintain muscle mass.

Decreased physical capacity, feebleness: Result of having only 22–27% of cells alive in the body while carrying 100% of body weight and energy demands. "Can you imagine 22% not healthy, supporting the weight and the energy that needs to be produced and the chores that need to be done for 100% of the weight of the body?"

Kidney disease in the elderly: Direct consequence of sugar acid (AGEs) eating away at kidney tissue throughout a lifetime of carbohydrate consumption.

Bladder damage: Same mechanism, AGE acid accumulation.

Liver deterioration: AGE acid causing chronic liver damage.

Cognitive decline, memory loss, "where did that thought go?": AGEs creating stickiness in the neurological system, preventing synaptic firing. "Those thoughts when you say where did that go, where did that go, can't find that, that's because too much sugar in the area, it's sticky, the synapses aren't firing."

Height shrinkage: Not gravity, poor nutrition failing to supply complete nutrition to maintain structural integrity. Correctable with adequate raw food nutrition.

Hair moisture loss: Listed as a symptom of the general body deterioration process caused by accumulated toxicity and insufficient raw fat.

Loss of dexterity: Same root cause as other deteriorative symptoms, cellular death rate exceeding cellular reproduction rate.

Rapid post-exercise energy collapse in older athletes: Not normal aging, result of carbohydrate-based fuel producing massive AGE accumulation that dries and destroys athletic tissue. Correctable by switching to fat-based fuel.

Death before 138: In Aajonus's framework, every single death before approximately age 138 is a premature death caused by correctable factors, diet, toxicity, lifestyle, not by the natural limits of the human organism.

Alzheimer's progression: While the diet can slow or stop the progression (and in stages one and two can reverse it), advanced Alzheimer's represents a case where neurological tissue has deteriorated past the point of cellular reversal. The body can still become physically young, one 76-year-old patient's body looked like a teenager after five years on the diet, but neurological recovery does not always accompany physical recovery in late-stage cases.

Food Protocol

Food Protocol

Aajonus provides a detailed and multifaceted food protocol for preventing and reversing premature aging:

The 40% Raw Fat Foundation

The single most important dietary component for preventing premature aging is raw fat. He states: "Consuming a raw diet in which 40% of calories are raw fat prevents the 'normal' process of body deterioration. The body gradually or quickly deteriorates without fat. At least 3% and up to 30% of the [diet should be raw fat]."

Raw animal fats are specifically prioritized over plant fats: "The fats are in many different forms, we have avocados, we have meat fats, we have dairy fats, all of those are pretty good, coconut fats. But only the animal fats will stabilize you and bring you calmness. Avocados will not do that except for a very limited period. Coconut fat..."

Raw Meat, The Primary Anti-Aging Food

Raw meat twice daily was the cornerstone of what Aajonus counts as the beginning of his own anti-aging protocol: "I count my progression on a perfect diet when I start eating raw meat on a daily basis several times a day. And that was in December of 82." He dates the reversal of his premature aging from the moment he began eating raw meat regularly.

Raw meat provides the complete proteins and fats that cannot be obtained from cooked meat, the building blocks for cellular reproduction that the body needs to produce new cells faster than old ones die.

Raw Eggs

Aajonus specifies that eggs provide a particularly focused brain and neurological benefit, and are important for maintaining focus and physical energy. "If you want to stay focused... the eggs will keep you physically and mentally focused." He references eating 50 eggs (mentioned in a newsletter Q&A context) as part of his personal protocol.

Eggs support the neurological system and help counteract the stickiness of AGE deposits in synaptic tissue.

Raw Dairy, Milk, Cream, Butter, Cheese

Butter is specifically named as the fat to pair with carbohydrates to reduce AGE production: "Let's say you like apples. Bread? You know, bread you have lots of butter with it. That'll lower your ability to produce and hold on to AGE."

Cream is used in the milkshake formula: "If you want to stay focused, if you have the physical energy, you're going to need more than that. You're going to have to have milkshakes, like a half a cup of milkshake at a time."

Raw butter with fruit: "Let's say if you like really sweet fruit like apricots or peaches, have cream cheese or avocado or some fat, butter with that fruit. It'll slow down its digestion. It'll piecemeal the carbohydrates and you'll use this for the citric acid cycle to be used to power, to convert fats into energy rather than to utilize as a glyco[gen]..."

Raw milk: Used in the milkshake protocol, half a cup at a time alternated with eggs on an hourly schedule.

Vegetable Juice Protocol with Strategic Protein Meal Timing

The vegetable juice/protein meal sequence is critical for minimizing AGE production:

"Eat a meat meal after your juice, about an hour later. Have your butter with it."

The sequence as described: vegetable juice first → 45 minutes to one hour later → protein meal (eggs and/or meat).

The reasoning: vegetable juice that enters a system with no accompanying fat will trigger the body to use carbohydrates as fuel, producing massive AGE accumulation. Following it with a protein and fat meal within the hour allows the fat metabolism to take over, dramatically reducing AGE production.

Fruit Must Always Be Paired With Fat

"Fruits should be consumed always with fat to slow them down, slow the sugar inundation down." He is emphatic that fruit eaten without fat will trigger AGE production at a very high rate. "If it doesn't find fat, you better believe it's going to go for calcium first."

Eating fruit without fat: - Lowers calcium levels - Causes the body to become over-acidic - Demineralizes the system - Prevents bones from stabilizing - Prevents replacement of bone cells

Green Fruit Over Ripe Fruit

He recommends unripe (green) fruit specifically: "I encourage you not to eat ripe fruit. Eat green fruit." Ripe fruit has a higher sugar content and causes greater AGE production. The elders of the tribe he references "don't eat any ripe fruit because they know it causes teeth degeneration. They know it causes dementalization of the body."

Avoiding Fruit Entirely in Some Populations

For older individuals or those with advanced AGE accumulation, the elders he observed ate no ripe fruit at all: "They know that if the sugar content's low, they won't have that problem."

The 5% Carbohydrate Rule for Athletic Performance

For people engaged in athletic activity, Aajonus's formula is: fat as the primary fuel source with only 5% carbohydrate. "You just have to have 5% fruit with it. Carbohydrate with it. That's all it is." This provides the citric acid cycle conversion support without triggering mass AGE production.

He documents a specific athlete case: "I have an athlete who is 56 years old. When he went on the diet, he's into martial arts. And he goes into the world championship every year." This athlete at 56, on the diet for one year, was competing across a category span from age 43–57. He uses jump rope as part of his training. By switching to fat-based fuel, the athlete avoids the AGE accumulation that destroys carbohydrate-fueled athletes by their late 30s and early 40s.

A second athletic case: a man 3 years out of Las Vegas, "in two and a half months, took 20 minutes off of his time" using fat as the primary endurance fuel.

Milkshake Protocol for Accelerated Healing

For people recovering from advanced deterioration, the milkshake (raw eggs, raw milk, raw cream, sometimes raw honey) is used as a sustained nutrient delivery system to rapidly rebuild depleted cellular stores.

Case study: "I had a man who was 97 years old and 2 days away from death. He is now 102." The description suggests the protocol restored him rapidly: "From one week of being completely bed ridden to a week later being healthier than his 20 year old grandchildren. Running them around the house and yard and all over. He just needed the right nutrients."

What to Avoid

What to Avoid

  • i

Every cooked meal depletes the cellular bank account. "Each time you eat a cooked food, you spend some of it." There is no exception. The degree of damage compounds with each generation of cooked-food eating.

  • ii

All high-carbohydrate foods accelerate AGE production and premature aging. This includes: - Breads and grains (unless in extreme specific medical circumstances such as the Down syndrome violent behavior case) - Cereals - Ripe fruit - Sweet fruit eaten without fat - Cooked fruit (worse than raw fruit for AGE production)

  • iii

"Advanced glycation end products can come from even raw foods where the enzymes and vitamins are all active and healthy. We are an animal that does not do well with sugar products, even raw fruits. It will degenerate our system."

  • iv

The conventional sports nutrition model of carbohydrate loading directly causes the rapid premature aging seen in elite athletes: "What happens to those athletes like Billie Jean King, dried up, wrinkled, McEnroe, all of them, dried up and wrinkled, they're gone and out of the field no longer champions by the time they hit their late 30s and early 40s."

  • v

The fat doesn't form a good acetate on carbohydrate-based diets: "It's not an oily substance, it's a drier substance, it will cause the body to crack and dry."

  • vi

Aajonus specifically identifies chemical injections and vaccines as causing accelerated aging. In his own case, following what he describes as a forced injection (after the swine flu radio broadcast), he "aged tremendously." He notes in a Q&A that after injections "you aged, but you have overcome that aging, and look so much younger", acknowledging both that the injections caused visible accelerated aging and that the diet was able to reverse it.

  • vii

Aajonus states that a vegetarian diet cannot maintain growth hormone production or sufficient cellular reproduction to prevent premature aging. He references "eight out of 2,300" clients on vegetarian diets who did well, "not a good track record." Without adequate animal protein and fat, the pituitary's growth hormone output is compromised, cellular division slows, and the AGE-to-fat fuel ratio becomes heavily imbalanced.

  • viii

For elderly individuals already experiencing advanced premature aging, Aajonus cautions strongly against aggressive detoxification protocols. He describes a situation where his girlfriend fed her elderly grandmother "rotten meat" to speed healing after a back injury: "You don't do that with an elderly person like that. You know, you don't cause them to detox like that. She may be chronically fatigued for a year."

  • ix

The reasoning: an elderly person with only 22–25% cellular vitality does not have the reserves to sustain an intense detoxification. The detoxification load exceeds the body's capacity to heal simultaneously.

  • x

Aajonus warns against mucus-reduction dietary approaches. Mucus is a primary toxin-dumping mechanism, and women's extra 20% mucus production in the vaginal cavity is the only "factual basis" he found for why women live 20% longer than men. "Mucus is very important. There are a lot of dieticians out there, the hygienic, that say mucusless diet. Mucus is bad for you." Eliminating mucus production accelerates toxic accumulation in tissues, which accelerates premature aging.

  • xi

Aajonus is not rigidly prescriptive about this, but he notes his personal need for warm climates to support ongoing recovery from decades of accumulated toxicity: "I jump into a cool stream, you know, a waterfall and that cools me enough to take care of me... I'm not quite as healthy as I want to be yet." He does acknowledge personal tolerance, noting he can ski for a few days before wanting to return to warm climates.

Recovery Timeline

Recovery Timeline

The recovery from premature aging is among the longest processes in Aajonus's framework, and he is both detailed and consistent about the timeline across many sources.

The Five-Generation Cellular Replacement Formula

The fundamental formula: Pottenger and Howell found that when diseased animals were placed on a perfect diet, it took five generations to return to optimal health. For humans, one cellular generation (the time to replace every cell in the body once) takes seven to seven and a half years, with the bone cells, cartilage, teeth, and hardest tissues being last. Five generations of seven and a half years = 37.5 years, rounded to approximately 40 years on a perfect raw diet.

He repeats this formula across dozens of seminar transcripts with remarkable consistency, always arriving at the same 40-year figure.

Organs and glands replace faster than hard tissue. Blood replaces in 60–90 days. Organs and glands regenerate in months to a few years. But because all softer systems remain "subjected to the toxicity of the harder cells in your body, it's going to take a full 40 years to complete."

Aajonus's Personal Timeline (The Living Case Study)

He uses himself as a living demonstration of the recovery timeline, updating the figures across different seminars as time passes:

  • He began the optimal diet (daily raw meat) in December 1982
  • At approximately 60 years old (roughly 2007): "I've got 26 years. I've still got 14 years to go to be optimal."
  • At 62 years old: "I'm on my 62nd year, and I get healthier every year and much better."
  • At a later talk (approximately 60–61): "I have 16 years to go to be completely healthy, I'll be 74, and I'll be newly born. I like that."
  • At approximately 63: "I turn 63 next week... I seem to get healthier every year, as long as I don't get in accidents, and I don't get poisoned."
  • With complications from the forced injection and death threats: "This last year I've aged tremendously." He acknowledges this set him back but maintains the overall trajectory is upward.
  • In a Q&A letter at age 64: "I can't believe you're 64. After all the attacks on your health, you look great. You aged after the injections, but you have overcome that aging, and look so much younger."

He repeatedly states: "I get younger every day. I get more capable every day. I get even more focused every day. And I'm not getting old and deteriorating because I'm eating properly."

The Physical Reversal He Documents in His Own Body

Several sources confirm measurable physical reversal: - Height: grew 0.7 inches between age 22 and 64, surpassing his mature height by 0.2 inches after recovering from radiation/chemo damage - Kirlian photography: at age 50, his energy field did not diminish over six hours of testing, and it expanded every time he ate, opposite to what was seen in most people, whose fields shrank when they ate due to poor digestion - Continuing to out-hike people under age 35 at age 63 in the humidity and heat of the Philippines - Only the 20-year-olds were able to keep pace with him on mountain hikes

Client Case Studies of Aging Reversal

97-year-old man, two days from death: Placed on the Primal Diet, "from one week of being completely bed ridden to a week later being healthier than his 20 year old grandchildren." He lived to at least 102. "He just needed the right nutrients."

76-year-old Alzheimer's patient: After five years on the diet, his body looked like a teenager. His wife was "astounded, so thrilled that he didn't get worse." His mind did not improve (stage four Alzheimer's) but also did not progress, and his body achieved a level of youthful physical health that exceeded what most people attain on conventional diets.

56-year-old martial artist: On the diet for one year, competing in world championships against people 14 years younger than him, performing at a level that defied his chronological age classification.

Unspecified client with old skin: "His skin was old, coming back to life. How [remarkable]. If you'd seen his body 10 years ago, completely different body. It was an old body."

Athletes on standard carbohydrate diets: Show premature aging by late 30s to early 40s. Athletes on fat-based raw food diets maintain vitality far beyond this, "they should be able to go at least" into their 50s and 60s.

The 40-Year Timeline as a Minimum, Not a Ceiling

Aajonus is careful to note that 40 years on a perfect diet produces what he calls "completely well", this is an asymptote, not a guarantee of a particular physical state. Variables that extend the timeline or complicate recovery include:

  • Severe surgeries: "As long as you haven't had any severe surgeries or you haven't had any chemical poisoning that's damaged the RNA and DNA in your body."
  • Chemical poisoning: Drug use (cocaine can "almost double the amount of time it's going to take"), pharmaceutical treatments, chemotherapy, radiation
  • Ongoing environmental toxic exposure: Industrial pollution, repeated chemical attacks
Generation Count for Younger Versus Older Patients

In his early training material, Aajonus provides a formula for estimating recovery time based on current cellular vitality:

"The right side of his body has fifty-seven percent of the cells alive. All you do is go the average. Say thirty-five years it's going to take this person to get to optimal."

For someone in their late twenties with cellular life "up around sixty to seventy percent or better," recovery might take approximately 20 years, "depending upon drugs that they may have had. If they have got drug storages, they have to be cleaned out. That's a very slow process."

The Counterintuitive Path: Getting Younger While Others Age

The experiential description of the recovery process is not simply "feeling better gradually." It is actually getting younger in a measurable, observable way. "I'm getting healthier every year where other people are deteriorating. Most people are getting ready to expire when they're 60. He's no longer ready to expire. He's getting younger. If you'd seen his body 10 years ago, completely different body."

He states the goal explicitly: "Die healthy and happy, die in your sleep. Why? Who knows why they just die at that age no matter how healthy the animal is, seven times the time it takes to finish maturation, with no disease. Who knows why those years are set in the cells for some reason."

The ideal he describes: to maintain the vitality and appearance of a healthy mature adult until the moment of natural death, with no deterioration, exactly as wild animals demonstrate. "I can never tell a really old one from any other mature one, unless they haven't had a lot to eat and are drying out."

Questions Aajonus Answered

  • Q: "You looked younger", Newsletter/Q&A Exchange

From the newsletter: A correspondent writes: "I saw you and then again one and a half years later, and you looked younger. Now, looking back, you had cleansed your body of deeper levels of toxicity in that time frame and your body was functioning at a higher level."

Aajonus's implicit confirmation: His written response (in the newsletter context) does not dispute this observation but rather acknowledges the mechanism, the cleansing of deeper toxicity layers allowing higher functional levels. The premise of his entire anti-aging framework is that looking younger on the raw diet is not anomalous but the expected result.

  • Q&A Letter: "I can't believe you're 64", Joanne Unleashed

From the Q&A archive: Someone writes: "Hi Aajonus, I just read your interview with Joanne. I can't believe you're 64. After all the attacks on your health, you look great. You aged after the injections, but you have overcome that aging, and look so much younger."

This comment references: (1) that the forced injections visibly aged him, (2) that the diet reversed that aging, and (3) that he looks dramatically younger than his chronological age at 64. Aajonus does not correct the observation, confirming that the diet reversed injection-induced premature aging.

  • Source Material

Observation: "I'm surprised at how much they [his parents] have aged since I saw them two years ago. Or does it seem more so because most of the people I see regularly are more or less on my type of diet? Raw diets slow down the normal aging process or reverse it altogether."

This is Aajonus's own written reflection, not a Q&A per se, but it contains his direct statement about raw diets and aging: "Raw diets slow down the normal aging process or reverse it altogether."

  • Seminar Attendee Challenge: "I haven't seen the people who he claims cured themselves"

The challenge (from a forum post cited): A skeptic writes: "Aajonus makes it seem that this diet will give you the vitality to jump rope when you are 95. I haven't seen the people who he claims cured themselves." The skeptic also notes her husband's grandmother lived to 92 on coffee and lunch meat every day, and another relative's grandmother lived to 102 on chocolate.

Aajonus's implicit response (in the framework of his broader teaching): He acknowledges these cases exist but frames them within his bank account theory, people who live long on "bad" diets are people who started with an extraordinarily large cellular bank account (whether due to genetics, raw food in early childhood, or farm-based upbringing) and depleted it very slowly. These are statistical outliers. His point is not that no one survives on poor diets to old age, but that no one thrives to old age on poor diets, they deteriorate progressively. The standard is not surviving to 92 while drinking coffee, it is having "wonderful, perfect teeth at 80 years old" and riding horses and climbing palm trees at 118–120 years old.

  • On Athletes and Premature Aging, Seminar Exchange

Attendee context (implied from seminar transcript): Discussion about why elite athletes deteriorate so quickly.

Aajonus: "What happens to those athletes like Billie Jean King, dried up, wrinkled, McEnroe, all of them, dried up and wrinkled, they're gone and out of the field no longer champions by the time they hit their late 30s and early 40s. Why so young? They should be able to go at least [longer]..." The explanation provided: carbohydrate-based fuel producing massive AGE accumulation at 70–90% storage rates, combined with no raw fat buffer to neutralize or slow the process.

  • On the 97-Year-Old Near-Death Patient

Context: Discussion in a seminar about whether it's "too late" to start the diet.

Aajonus: "You might [live another 40 years]. I don't have 40 more years. You do this diet, you just might. I had a man who was 97 years old and 2 days away from death. He is now 102. His family can't believe it because he went from one week of being completely bed ridden to a week later being healthier than his 20 year old grandchildren. Running them around the house and yard and all over. He just needed the right nutrients. Of course he was growing in a time where there was nothing but raw milk and nothing but good unadulterated, no chemicalized food..."

The implication: even at 97, two days from death, the cellular bank account had not been fully spent, and raw food could rapidly replenish it. This is perhaps the most extreme case Aajonus presents of reversing premature aging.

  • On the Philippine Tribe at 138 Years Old

    In a seminar:

Aajonus: "I know I met people that were 138 years old at a particular tribe in the Philippines and they had all their teeth, and they were incredibly healthy and they didn't look over 60 years old. At 138, that's pretty freaking phenomenal. Can you imagine having all your teeth at 55? No cavities? Pretty spectacular."

He also references a 120-year-old man climbing a palm tree: "The guy said, this guy's about 118. He went up that palm to get coconuts faster than I could even think about getting up there, imagine getting up there."

  • On the Andes Tribe's Ball-Kicking Practice

In a seminar, describing physical evidence against premature aging:

Aajonus: "Let's take a look at the tribe in the Andes. They have a practice of kicking a ball for 200 miles once a year through the Andes Mountains. We're talking about high altitude. Anywhere from 6,000 to 9,000 feet. Can you imagine 11 of you at a time in a spring line, the ball in front of you, and you're going at a pretty good pace and you kick this ball... for 200 miles... And these people, 90 years old, are doing this every year." He then makes the argument: "Deterioration in aging should never be synonyms."

  • On His Own Psoriasis as a Marker of Ongoing Detoxification and Reverse Aging

    In a seminar:

Aajonus: "It started eczema. I got chemotherapy, psoriasis was every day. Now, this is the first time I've had it, probably 15 years, and back then I had it for about a month. This I've had it for about three weeks now. I'll probably have it for another week or two, and it'll be gone again. So I keep getting better every day, every year, every minute, as long as I take care of myself."

He frames recurrent detox episodes (skin reactions) not as premature aging symptoms but as evidence of the body successfully purging older toxin layers, the opposite of premature aging.
